symposium event rules

                           National Level Symposium 2k18

RULES FOR MULTIMEDIA (ECE, EEE, E&I, CSE/IT, BIO, AERO, MCA, MECH & CIVIL)
  • Multimedia presentation on their own topic not exceeding 10 minutes.
  • Two members per Team.
  • Should be Innovative and Animated.
  • Any number of teams can participate from same college.
  • Last date for submission multimedia copy in CD/DVD on or before 27-08-2018.
  • Topic and rules for the selected participants will be intimated via e-mail on 28-08-2018.
RULES FOR ADZAP:
1.      Maximum of 6 and minimum of 3 participants will be allowed to participate in the event.
2.      There will be 2 rounds conducted for this event.
3.      The time duration allocated for preparation and performance will be 3 and 4 minutes respectively.
4.      Participants will not be allowed to bring any props during the event.
5.      The preliminary round will be conducted on the basis of number of teams registered.
6.      Spontaneity, humour and creativity will be much appreciated.
7.      In the final round, the participants will be provided with the product on the spot.

RULES FOR PAPER PRESENTATION

Abstracts

Abstracts must not exceed 250 words.
The abstract should accurately convey the essential nature of the research conducted and the most significant conclusions reached. A further purpose of the abstract is to attract the interest and curiosity of the non-specialist reader and thus encourage exchange, discussion, and elaboration between various authors and between authors and readers.

Categories

Students must submit their paper in one of the following categories:
  • 4G & 5G Wireless Technology
  • Soft computing
  • Big Data Applications and Analytics
  • Databases and Data Mining Applications
  • Energy-efficient Computing for Big Data
  • Image Processing
  • Grid Computing 
  • Cloud Computing 
  • Nano Technology 
  • IoT models and applications
  •  Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

     Paper Guideline

 Papers should be a minimum of 5-6 pages and a maximum of 20 pages, including appendices.        Length assumes a 12-point, Times New Roman font. Students need to send a copy of their paper to transcend2018cse@gmail.com And should bring 2-3 copies of the paper for judges.
The research paper is used as a supporting document only to the abstract during the judging process.
Last date for submission of paper is 20th AUGUST 2018.

Presentation Guidelines

Students should use PowerPoint slides for their presentation
PLEASE have your powerpoint presentation on a USB drive. Laptops will be provided. We will not be providing MAC laptops so be sure to have your presentation ready to go for a personal computer.
Students will NOT be able to adjust paper room LCD projectors.
Projector equipment and AV help will be available.
Photography may be used in oral presentations. Graphs, tables, diagrams, charts, or other graphic representations of data should be kept as simple as possible.
Students will have 12 minutes to present their scientific research in an oral presentation followed by 6 minutes for questions asked by judges only. Room moderators will keep time and let students know how much time they have remaining using visual cues.
Students who advance to the callback round have 10 minutes to present with 5 minutes for questions from judges.
